Mandate

The mandate of the institution will be to:

• Reverse rapid degradation of ecosystems and assure their capacity to provide humans with needed goods and services.
• Devise local action plans for reducing harm due to emissions of greenhouse gases.
• Devise efforts to protect the natural world and farming systems to adapt to unavoidable climate change
• Guarantee public access to information and decisions regarding natural resources and the environment in the context of climate change
• Mapping of vulnerable systems, foresee climate change effects, build public awareness, capacity building and farming system conservation.
